“Build Your Own Dream!” – Visiting Lectures that take experts to schools

In the “Build Your Own Dream” program, alumni of the KFAS scholarship program visit middle and high schools throughout Korea to give talks on their fields of study. As leading experts in their field, they candidly share thoughts on life and career paths, which many students find both helpful and inspirational. From the program's inception in 2012 to the end of 2020, KFAS lecturers have visited 599 schools to give 772 talks on 140 topics and met with about 124,880 students. Some of the talks were organized in collaboration with school boards and research institutions in various cities and provinces, including Yeosu Office of Education in South Jeolla Province, Chungcheongbuk-do Office of Education, Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology, and Daegu Future Foundation.

“Into the Big Wide World!” – Inviting Middle and High School Student to KFAS

“Into the Big Wide World” program was launched in December 2013 to invite middle and high school students from across the country to the KFAS building in Seoul for a tour of the foundation and lectures by scholars and experts (including KFAS alumni) on topics such as liberal arts, culture, natural sciences, engineering, social sciences, and business. The program aims to help students to expand their dreams beyond their classrooms. The program was held 47 times, with approximately 15,700 students from 530 schools visiting KFAS
In 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the program was converted to a series of webinars. Thanks to this new online format, we were able to continue meeting students from all over the country. Students participate in the lectures via Zoom and Youtube live streaming services, and take part in subsequent Q&A sessions. Webinar topics included "Post-COVID 19", "The Environment", "The Fourth Industrial Revolution", "Happiness", and "Education". In 2021, 658 students from 21 high schools across the country participated our Dream Lecture webinars.
